Jaguar XK 120 Additional Information
Here at 911Box we are delighted to present this exceptional Jaguar XK120, a car with a fascinating and well-documented history.
According to the accompanying Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust Heritage Certificate, this particular XK120 was one of just twelve examples sent to Ireland in CKD (Complete Knock Down) form, where the cars were assembled, trimmed and painted locally in order to avoid the heavy import duties of the time. As such, this example forms part of a particularly interesting chapter in early **Jaguar production history.
Over the years the car has enjoyed a colourful life, including ownership connections with the well-known **Tullamore D.E.W. family and a period of historic competition use, adding further character to its provenance.
More recently, the car has undergone a comprehensive restoration by Cotswold Classic Car Restorations, completed in 2023 with well in excess of £110,000 invested. The work included a fully rebuilt engine, the installation of a five-speed Supra gearbox, power steering, a full bare-metal respray, and a complete interior retrim. Since the restoration was completed, the car has covered approximately 180 miles, leaving it in superb condition.
The car is accompanied by its full wet weather equipment as well as the original steering wheel, further adding to its completeness.
A beautifully restored and historically interesting XK120, combining early Jaguar heritage with sympathetic upgrades that make the car even more enjoyable to drive and use today.
